April 27, Fineko/abc.az. A register of financial landlords will be created in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the Bill on Financial Leasing, discussed at today's session of the parliament.

According to the draft, a legal entity registered in Azerbaijan or a local branch of a foreign legal entity will be able to carry out financial lease activities only after being included in the register of financial lease providers maintained by the Central Bank. A state fee will be paid for inclusion in the register in the amount established by the Law on State Duty.

Financial lease activities may be carried out by a branch of the lessor (with the exception of a local branch of a foreign legal entity), subject to notification from the Central Bank.

The register maintained by the Central Bank is open to the public. It includes information about the name of landlords, their legal address, branches, persons performing managerial functions, the number and date of inclusion in the register, as well as information about restrictions and suspensions of financial lease activities, as well as about landlords excluded from the register.

After discussions, the bill was put to the vote and adopted in the first reading.
