April 22, Fineko/abc.az. Today, Japan’s stock index Nikkei 225 rose by 0.40% and reached a record high of 59,585.86 points, updating the historical maximum.

ABC.AZ informs that at the same time, index TOPIX decreased by 0.67% to 3,744.99 points.

SoftBank Group shares, as well as Resonac Holdings and Shift, were among the growth leaders, while Sapporo Holdings, Nikon and Yokohama Rubber showed the largest declines.

The largest trading volumes accounted for the securities of NTT, SoftBank Group, Tokyo Electric Power, SoftBank Corp and Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma. The total trading volume increased up to 505.68 million shares.
