April 21, Fineko/abc.az. Over the past 3 months, Azerbaijan exported 137,847 tons of fruits and vegetables for $187.37 million.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Customs Committee that the figure is $33.67 million (21.9%) more in value and 5,557 tons (4.2%) more in volume compared with Jan-Mar 2025.

The share of fruits and vegetables in exports of the main non-oil products of Azerbaijani origin was 21.7%.

Over Jan-Mar 2026, Azerbaijan imported 129,001.57 tons of fruits and vegetables for $109.935 million. Compared with Jan-Mar 2025, the value of imports grew by $3.682 million (3.4%), while the volume decreased by 11 526 tons (8.2%).

Earnings from imports of fruits and vegetables made up 2.7% of country’s overall import revenues.

In general, for Jan-Mar 2026 Azerbaijan carried out foreign trade operations for $9.407 billion (21.9% less in annual terms), including exports for $5.402 billion (a drop by 15.4%) and imports for $4.5 billion (a drop by 29.3%).

As a result, positive balance of $1.398 billion was formed in foreign trade (93.4% more against Jan-Mar 2025).
