April 20, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Mar 2026, Azerbaijan exported 3,886 tons of pomegranates for $3.392 million.

Compared with the 2025 same term, the idnicator is 908 tons (19%) less in volume and $726,000 (17.6%) less in value.

The earnings from pomegranate exports accounted for a small share of Azerbaijan's overall export income.

For Jan-Mar 2026, Azerbaijan conducted foreign trade operations with foreign countries for $9.407 billion (a drop of 21.9% versus Jan-Mar 2025), including export for $5.402 billion (a drop by 15.4%) and import $4.5 billion (a drop by 29.3%).

As a result, positive balance of $1.398 billion was formed in foreign trade (93.4% more year-on-year).
