April 1, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan is working on new mechanisms to increase the intensity of investments in the travel and tourism sector.

ABC.AZ informs that in order to more effectively promote the country's tourism brand at the international level, it is planned to create a mechanism to subsidize the support of entrepreneurs' participation in international events.

Through this mechanism, it is planned to expand the opportunities for local tourism entities to participate in foreign exhibitions and forums.

This initiative will be implemented by the State Agency for Tourism and the Ministry of Economy.

The capital intensity index of investments in travel and tourism reflects the volume of investments per employee in the sector. This indicator includes the investment costs of both the public sector (equipment, land, buildings, infrastructure) and the private sector (hotels, conference centers, airplanes, taxis, etc.).

It is expected that the measures will increase the inflow of investments into the tourism sector, contribute to improving the quality of service and strengthen Azerbaijan's position in the international tourism market.
