December 16, Fineko/abc.az. Nasdaq Inc., the second largest stock exchange in the U.S., seeks regulatory approval to extend trading hours on its stock exchanges to 23 hours during the working week.
ABC.AZ reports that according to an application filed on Monday, December 15, the firm applied to the Securities & Exchange Commission for permission to hold an additional trading session from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. Estern time. According to company's representatives, this will be in addition to the pre-sale, regular and after-sale watches that the company already uses.
“This evolution reflects a simple reality: global investors expect access on their own terms, in their own time zones, without compromising market confidence or integrity,” said Chuck Mack, senior vice president for North American markets at Nasdaq.
