November 26, Fineko/abc.az. Compared to Jan-Oct 2024, the number of arrivals in Azerbaijan from the European Union member states increased by 7.9% up to 101,500 people, while from the Persian Gulf countries decreased by 3.5% to 352,600 people and from the CIS countries by 8.2% to 740,800 people. The quantity of arrivals from other countries grew by 3.5% up to 976,700 people.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Statistics Committee that 76.3% of foreigners and stateless persons who arrived in Azerbaijan traveled by air, 22.4% by rail and road, and 1.3% by sea.

Compared with Jan-Oct 2024, the total number of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan traveling abroad decreased by 2.3% to 1,774,900 people. The number of citizens of Azerbaijan traveling to Georgia grew by 22.1% and to Iran by 4.3%, while the number of citizens traveling to the Russian Federation decreased by 31.2% and to Turkey by 1.8%.

42.0% of citizens of Azerbaijan visited Turkey, 14.6% - the Russian Federation, 10.8% - Georgia, 9.2% - Iran, 23.4% - other countries. Men made up 63.7% ans women - 36.3%.

Over Jan-Oct 2025, 70.3% of citizens of Azerbaijan who visited foreign countries traveled by air transport, 27.8% - by rail and road, and 1.9% - by sea.
