September 10, Fineko/abc.az. More than 12,000 foreign tourists are expected to visit Baku during the Azerbaijan Formula 1 Grand Prix, the Baku City Circuit operating company reports, as cited by ABC.AZ.

Official statistics show that last year, over 80% of spectators were international visitors. Many came to the capital without purchasing race tickets, simply to experience the excitement of Formula 1. According to Formula 1 data, 55% of fans would recommend the Azerbaijan Grand Prix to friends, and 72% plan to return within the next two years.

On average, each foreign spectator spends more than $2,200, making the Grand Prix a significant driver of tourism and business development in Azerbaijan.
