July 25, Fineko/abc.az. The number of overnight stays in hotels and hotel-type facilities for Jan-Jun 2025 increased by 6.4% versus the 2024 same term up to 1.97 million.

62.6% of the total number of overnight stays were registered in Baku, 6.4% in Gusar, 4.9% in Naftalan, 4.4% in Gabala, 3.2% in Shabran, 3.0% in Guba, 2.6% in Lankaran, 1.4% in Shemakha, 1.1% in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, 1.1% in Shusha, 1.0% in Masalli, 1.0% in Khachmaz and 7.3% in hotels and hotel-type facilities of other cities and districts.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that the number of nights spent by foreigners and stateless persons increased by 10.3% against Jan-Jun 2024 up to 1.192 million (60.5% of the total number of nights).

Of the overall number of overnight stays, 19.3% accounted for citizens from India, 12.8% from the Russian Federation, 9.1% from Turkey, 6.7% from Saudi Arabia, 5.3% from the UAE, 4.1% from Israel, 3.3% from the U.S., 2.8% from China, 2.8% from Pakistan, 2.7% from Kazakhstan, 2.5% - Uzbekistan, 2.4% - Kuwait, 2.0% - Great Britain, 1.1% - Germany, 0.9% - Italy, 0.7% - Georgia, 0.6% - Bahrain, 0.6% - Iran and 20.3% - citizens of other countries.
