February 28, Fineko/abc.az. Desalination of seawater will be carried out in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that Zaur Mikayilov, the chairman of the State Agency for Water Resources of Azerbaijan, stated about this at hearings "The country's water sector: problems & new challenges" held jointly by the Milli Majlis Committees on Natural Resources, Energy and Ecology and Agrarian Policy.

He said that 10 foreign companies have already submitted relevant proposals:

"When using process water, it should not come into contact with people. Detecting a virus is not easy. We can purify industrial water from bacteria. Industrial water can only be used in industry and decorative gardening."
