October 4, Fineko/abc.az. The number of vacancies in Europe reached a record high last year.

There are open vacancies in most European countries, but in Germany their number has reached a record level, ABC.AZ with reference to the foreign press. So, 934,000 jobs were opened in Germany in the 2nd quarter of 2023.

According to the EU Statistical Office, the level of labor shortage in the Union countries was 2.9% per year.

As of the 2nd quarter of 2023, the countries with the highest level of labor shortage are the Netherlands with an indicator of 4.7%. Belgium follows with 4.6% and Austria with 4.4%.

The lowest indicator is in Bulgaria and Romania – 0.8% each. In Poland and Spain, this figure is 0.9%.
