One of these extremely rare pink diamonds was a 10.57 carat diamond mined at the Damtshaa mine in Botswana, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the foreign press.
This pink diamond ring, which was recycled and turned into a fashionable ring, was auctioned on Thursday and won $34.8 million in just 2 minutes.
Standard diamonds have a bluish-white luster due to the rare element boron in their composition. The pink color of this diamond worth $34.8 million cannot be fully explained from a scientific point of view.
