May 21, Fineko/abc.az. Armenia declared its readiness for a possible rise in the price of Russian gas, emphasizing the existence of mechanisms to protect the economy and plans to diversify supplies.
ABC.AZ reports that Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan noted that the country is already looking for alternative markets, as was done with fuel. At the same time, dependence on Russia remains high, despite gas supplies from Iran.
Amid discussions of a possible price increase, harsh measures are being taken in Yerevan, including a review of participation in integration associations if supply conditions worsen.
