April 24, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan imported 21,892.39 tons of corn for $10.69 million for Jan-Mar 2026.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Customs Committee that compared with Jan-Mar 2025, corn imports decreased by 14,131.85 tons (39.23%) and in value terms by $273,420 (2.49%).

Over Jan-Mar 2025, Azerbaijan imported 36,024.24 tons of corn for $10.965 million.

Over Jan-Mar 2026, corn imports made up 0.27% of country's overall imports.

For the past 3 months, Azerbaijan conducted foreign trade operations for $9.407 billion (21.9% less than a year earlier), including exports for $5.402 billion and imports for $4.5 billion. Exports dropped by 15.4% and imports by 29.3% for Jan-Mar 2026.

As a result, positive foreign trade balance of $1.398 billion was formed (93.4% more year-on-year).
