April 15, Fineko/abc.az. 3,767.4 tons of copper concentrate were produced in Azerbaijan in the first quarter of 2026.
ABC.AZ informs, referring to the State Statistics Committee, that this means an increase of 7.1-fold against Jan-Mar 2025. As of April 1, 2026, the volume of reserves totaled 2,762.1 tons.
Silver production grew by 85.6% year-on-year and reached 972.1 kg and gold production by 80.2% up to 601.3 kg.
The main producer in Azerbaijan is British company Anglo Asian Mining Plc. (AAM). At the end of 2025, it announced the start of sales of copper concentrate from new deposit Demirli in the Karabakh region.
The company also notes that as part of its production expansion strategy, a record production figure of 1,951,101 tons of rock was achieved at the Demirli field in November 2025. Starting in 2026, production is expected to increase to nearly 15,000 tons of copper per year. The life of the deposit will be determined after further development of the geological and mineral resources model.
