Swiss watch export observes growth: U.S. is main driver of demand

March 19, Fineko/abc.az. Swiss watch exports increased 9.2% year-on-year up to 2.168 billion francs in February, according to the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry.

ABC.AZ reports that wristwatches accounted for 2.075 billion francs of the total volume (a rise of 10% versus February 2025).

The U.S. led the growth among the main markets, with exports up 26.8% to 431.5 million francs. Japan recorded a 23.7% increase up to 155.9 million francs, while France's exports rose sharply by 57.1% up to 152.7 million francs.

The UK showed growth of 10% up to 142.3 million francs, while Singapore increased by 5.1% up to 135.7 million francs.

Hong Kong was the only major market to show a decline: exports fell by 5.2% to 146.5 million francs.
