November 19, Fineko/abc.az. The lower tax rate will be applied to lower incomes.

ABC.AZ informs that Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov made the above-said statement during the discussion of the Draft Law on State Budget 2026 at today’s MIlli Majlis plenary session.

He noted that in the non-oil/gas private sector, a proposal was put forward for gradual, phased taxation of wages. So, even if wages of up to 2,500 manats in 2028 will be taxed at the rate of 7%, it is still 2-fold less than the rate of 14%, which should be applied in case of complete cancellation of the benefit.
