In Azerbaijan’s manufacturing sector, production growth was recorded in several key industries: pharmaceuticals (+93.5%), wood processing and wood products (+85.6%), textiles (+29%), food products (+10.8%), chemicals (+8.4%), tobacco (+8%), rubber and plastic products (+6.1%), and machinery and equipment (+0.7%).

ABC.AZ reports, citing the State Statistics Committee, that production declined in other sectors: petroleum products (-0.1%), beverages (-0.4%), construction materials (-4.2%), furniture (-7.6%), metallurgical products (-12.3%), finished metal products (-12.7%), electrical equipment (-13.8%), machinery installation and repair (-14%), clothing (-20.8%), leather, leather goods, and footwear (-22.1%), printed products (-23.6%), automobiles, trailers, and semi-trailers (-24.8%), paper and cardboard (-26.2%), and computer, electronic, and optical products (-29.1%).

In the electricity, gas, and steam production, distribution, and supply sector, output increased by 1.6%, while the water supply, waste management, and recycling sector grew by 4.4%.
