September 5, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov gave an interview to the Peruvian news agency Andina.

According to ABC.AZ, which cites Report, he called energy cooperation an important aspect of bilateral relations.

“We are expanding cooperation in the energy sector: we sell oil to Peru and purchase LNG, as well as trade LNG on the global market. Over the past two years, there have been significant energy deals between Azerbaijan and Peru. This is one of the topics we discussed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the first political consultations,” Mammadov emphasized.

The diplomat also noted that Azerbaijan is actively developing economic ties with several Latin American countries, including trade in oil and fertilizers.
