September 5, Fineko/abc.az – Peru has proposed extending the existing visa-free agreement with Azerbaijan to cover all passport categories, according to ABC.AZ, which cites Report.

"In 2013, we signed an agreement with Peru to waive visas for holders of diplomatic and service passports. Now Peru has proposed expanding the agreement to all passports," Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Elnur Mammadov said in an interview with the Peruvian news agency Andina.

According to Mammadov, the development of tourist flows between the two countries depends on two key factors: the availability of direct flights and the visa regime. "If there are direct flights, more tourists can be expected in both directions. Currently, there are no direct flights. The visa situation is better: Peruvian citizens can obtain a visa upon arrival at the airport, and the process is quick and simple," the deputy minister explained.
