 November 6, Fineko/abc.az. When giving loans to Azerbaijani banks, along with economic factors, it is necessary to pay attention to environmental issues.

ABC.AZ informs that Deputy Minister of Ecology & Natural Resources Vugar Kerimov stated about this at a conference in Baku.

He adedd that at present, when allocating financial resources, it has become necessary to pay attention to environmental indicators: "Steps in this direction will not only reduce carbon emissions, but also strengthen the economic sustainability of Azerbaijan."

The deputy minister added that the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), which will be held on November 11-22 in Baku, will play an important role in this area: "Azerbaijan's climate initiatives show that it plays an important role in the transition to a "green economy" not only at the national level, but also on a global scale."
