June 18, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-May 2026, Azerbaijan's State Budget revenues significantly exceeded its expenditures. The budget revenues totaled 16.365 billion manats and expenditures - 13.375 billion manats.
ABC.AZ informs, referring to the Ministry of Finance, that surplus of 2.99 billion manats in the first 5 months of 2026 when executing the State Budget.
The State Statistics Committee informs, referring to the macroeconomic indicators of country's economic and social development for Jan-May 2026, that this indicator shows that the funds received by the State Budget for Jan-May exceeded expenditures by 22.4%. In other words, budget revenues exceeded expenditures almost by 3 billion manats. According to Finance Ministry’s operational data, for Jan-May 2026, the State Budget received 16.365 billion manats. This indicates high performance of the revenue side of the State Budget for Jan-May 2026. The excess of revenues over expenditures has led to formation of fiscal surplus position of the government in the current period.
13.375 billion manats were spent from the State Budget.
Thus, as a result of the execution of expenditures at a level below income, positive balance was formed in the budget. This can be considered as a factor allowing the formation of fiscal reserves from angle of public finance management.
