April 10, Fineko/abc.az. In terms of monetary policy, 2025 was characterized by a gradual easing.

ABC.AZ informs that this is stated in the financial report of the Baku Stock Exchange for 2025.

The report says that the discount interest rate was reduced from 7.25% at the beginning of the year to 6.75% in December, and the interest rate range narrowed from 8.25%-6.25% to 7.75-5.75%.

Interbank market indicators also reflect this period of softening. Weekly rate AINA for 1 week did not stabilize around the lower limit of the interest rate range, moving down until mid-2025.

"And the 1-day AZIR rate fluctuated throughout the year mainly within the interest rate range, remaining in line with policy levels. In accordance with these trends, in December 2025, the yield curve of Azerbaijani government bonds changed towards a noticeable decrease compared to December 2024," the report says.
