September 24, Fineko/abc.az. New ITX-20 H armored vehicles have been produced in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that equipment is being demonstrated for the first time at the Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition "ADEX-2024" taking place in Baku this year.

The ITX-20 H MRAP is designed to transport personnel. The 19.5-ton vehicle is equipped with armor and a rifle turret. It provides faster support and safe arrival of staff. It should be noted that the equipment is completely resistant to anti-tank mines and machine gun fire.

Farid Abdullayev, manager of the mine clearance project at Improtex Group LLC, stated to journalists that among the customers of military armored vehicles there are countries of South Asia and South America.

He said that company's priority is, first of all, meeting internal needs:

"These ITX armored vehicles, of which we are the manufacturer, must first be involved in 3-4-month tests. We are also interested in exporting them. Because the defense industry itself is an important part of the economy. In Turkey, this is a developed area with great export potential. We believe that Azerbaijan will continue to develop."
